The partnership, which will last from June 2022 to June 2005, will create a pathway for girls who wish to pursue a career playing football. JSSL FC’s existing girls’ programme comprises more than 150 girls aged four to 17. As part of the collaboration, up to 30 scholarships will be offered to young local aspiring female footballers across six age groups: Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16. Five girls in each of these six age groups will be awarded a full scholarship to JSSL FC, which is valued at about $4000 per scholar yearly. The scholarship will cover all mid week and weekend trainings, training and league kit and league games and will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
